Gamila Secret…. Product Review
I innocently walked into a beauty store in Portugal to buy Clinque anti-blemish solutions cleansing foam and I was PRESSURED into buying the Gamila Secret cleansing soap. The sales lady did not let me take a breath and ask questions….she just talked and talked about how “good” the cleansing bar was and that my skin would be much much better and more improved once I use the Gamila Secret cleansing soap. So either I could not take any more of her talk or she actually managed to convince me to give it a try, I gave her €19.90 and walked out of the shop feeling a bit disappointed for not buying my much loved Clinique anti-blemish solutions cleansing foam soap but optimistic about trying the Gamila Secret cleansing bar. Try and try again….
So i failed miserably in keeping my hair natural! I relaxed it one day and ruined it big time….i tried to get it fixed but even the hairdresser said she could not do anything till the hair got abit stronger. She recommended that i leave it for a month or so then go back for a proper relaxer… but i felt so bad about what i did to my hair… i never went back. Fast forward nine months plus a few more….i have bone dry two textured and two colored hair (It’s so bad), a pimply face but i also have a beautiful baby girl. I’m sorted with the being a mum bit, trying to get my skin under control and its slowly getting there and so now its time for my hair….I will do the CHOP again…. not sure its a big chop, but its a chop never the less.
Try and try again…. I’m going for it. Wednesday 4th May 2011 …I’m pledging myself to the natural world again… please forgive me for failing…but I’m coming back.
pH balanced hair
So, this is my latest obsession…. checking the pH levels of the products I use for my hair and I think you should too. I recently purchased some pH testing strips from one of my favourite sites luvnaturals.com which is the brain child of youtube natural hair guru Kimmytube (well worth a visit..). So pH levels are very important to know when you want to have good hair. What is good hair I hear you ask, well good hair is healthy hair…..hair that is not dry and breaking off when you run your fingers through it… hair that is not limp or too wet or too oily….healthy hair is soft, silky and brings a smile to your face. (of course there is much more to what is healthy hair, but i’ll stop here for now). Read more »
Face Masks

Deep Conditioner
Steroids for the hair… ok may be not that bad but seriously, your hair needs a deep conditioning treatment at least once a week and if you can achieve it with out applying heat, your hair will love you for it. Deep conditioning doesn’t always have to be Protein based, you can use any conditioner that has to stay in the hair for more than five minutes or better still, you can make your very own natural 100% chemical free from your kitchen. I was just thinking…. most things in the shops right now are not 100% even water has Fluoride or something added to it! call it madness or genius its up to you, but i always check what the bottled water contains before I buy it. Protective styling
Having 2.5 cm length of hair is going to present anyone with a challenge on how best to have a protective style for your hair. Protective styling helps to maintain your ends, lock in moisture and keeps your fingers out of your hair. We all know that over manipulation of hair leads to breakage and frizz. As a short haired lady, the only way to protect my hair is to cover it with something. During the night, I cover my hair with a silk scarf. I wish I could do the same during the day, but I hate the feeling of anything tight around my head when I’m trying to do some work. So the next best thing is to apply a good moisturizer to seal the ends and leave my hair alone. Read more »

I came across this product range from one of my many Internet research for good quality natural products for hair and skin. From the on set, I loved the website. The products look so so nice that you can almost feel them working just by looking at the picture… I HAD TO TRY THEM! So i looked through the site read about their products and as I couldn’t buy them all, i was well impressed when i found they had sampler boxes! (God Bless them for that!) so I clicked and ordered one of their scented Goodie boxes the Monoi de Tahiti range. Read more »
